Show of the Decade: Earth flies to the brightest comet




Russian amateur astronomer Artyom Novichonok with his colleague in Belarus - Vitaly Nevsky, discovered a comet can become the brightest of this decade.
The new comet was discovered on September 21 in the near Kislovodsk observatory observations. Comet C/2012 H1 was assigned index (ISON).
According to calculations, the comet in November will pass at a distance of 0.012 astronomical units from the sun together and then on 26 December 2013 - to 0.42 astronomical units from Earth.
